Music in Montana

When I first moved here, I had the privilege of great music at our local bar called The Cat’s Paw. Big names now were up and coming back then so the crowds were small. I was able to see Dave Matthews with about 10 people as nobody knew how amazing of an artist he was, but I did! We had just missed seeing Widespread Panic in the same venue, but we had the opportunity to see them many more times after.

Montana has grown with locations to see music, nearly year-round now. I especially love our outdoor venues like Pine Creek, Kettlehouse Ampitheater, Bridger Brewing in Three Forks or Music In The Mountains in Big Sky. A lot of the artists will be announced in the spring, so check back regularly.

We also offer great indoor music venues like The Elm, Live From The Divide, The Wilma and MSU’s Fieldhouse. Some of the upcoming lineups are Bonnie Rait both in Bozeman and Missoula, Lord Huron, John Butler, Modest Mouse, Avett Brothers, Post Malone and Jelly Roll.

Bozeman also has Music On Main in the summer months where they close several streets downtown, set up the stage on a side street and you can walk around several blocks with drinks and grab a bite to eat.

Montana offers a huge selection of live music year-round, come check it out!
